Eternal Forest Update

We are very pleased to share that following a couple of weeks of hard work by our woodsman, the Eternal Forest is now reopened to visitors.

We ask that you stay to the paths and tread carefully and do not cross any areas which are taped off. The majority of the paths are now clear however the following areas remain closed:

  • The violet path remains closed from both ends
  • The North-West corner of the forest including the wood store and the top of the bluebell path are blocked
  • The East end of the lime path is also obstructed by fallen trees.

The woods will look very different to the last time you have visited but please be reassured that in time the woods will recover and we all look forward to an even greener and more diverse forest. Whilst we continue to work on the clearing the damage, there may be areas which we need to individually close and ask that you avoid these areas should you visit at that time.

Kind Regards,
Louise – EFT Trustee

The Eternal Forest Trust is a charity based in North West Wales which provides natural burials and accessible woodland for the public.

The charity owns and manages a peaceful wood near Pwllheli which is open to all, and it is unique in Wales. It offers opportunities for education and volunteering as well as solace and support for mourners and those who are confronting death.

Natural Burials

We provide funeral, burial and dedication services in woodland. Burials are carried out in harmony with nature; everything that’s buried must be biodegradable and no chemicals are used in the wood.
